• Internet & Network State: Used to load dynamic resources and retrieve advertisements.
• Storage Access: Used to allow you to import and export transaction data for backup and restoration.

• SMS Permission (READ_SMS): Used to automatically read and parse financial transaction messages to help you log expenses.

SMS Permission and Financial Transaction Tracking

ExpenseQ offers an automated transaction tracking feature that requires access to your device's SMS messages. To comply with privacy standards and Google Play Policies, we disclose the following:

• Permission Requested: The app requests the READ_SMS permission dynamically. You can choose to grant or deny this permission. If denied, you can still use the app by manually logging your transactions.
• Purpose of Access: We access your incoming and stored SMS messages specifically to detect and read financial transaction alerts (such as bank alerts, debit/credit card transaction notifications, and mobile wallet updates).
• Local and Offline Processing: All SMS parsing, transaction detection, and expense logging are processed entirely locally and offline on your device. The raw text of your SMS messages or any financial details parsed from them are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers, nor are they shared with any third parties.
• User Control: You can enable or disable the SMS tracking feature or revoke the SMS permission at any time from your device's settings.

Advertising

Our app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, advertising IDs, and cookies to serve personalized and relevant ads.
